Welcome to the Conversation in the DistrictThe purpose of this site is to introduce you to the district's Board of Directors, district staff, and the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service employees who provide technical assistance to help and assist Pulaski County and the State of Arkansas' conservation needs. Our site is directed toward hard-working landowners, farmers, teachers and students of all ages, assisting, motivating and influencing conservation as a way of life. Throughout our site, we offer a brief explanation of available district programs, descriptions of local conservation activities, educational tools for teachers, students, and links to our conservation partners. For any specific questions about the Pulaski Conservation District, you can contact us by phone, email, or by visiting our central office.

Conservation DefinedConservation is the act of preserving and restoring wildlife and natural resources from the state of loss, damage or deterioration. Since the beginning of humanity, mankind has been highly concerned about the environment and its ability to provide food, water and other resources. With our large population and resulting industry and technology, we as a people should diligently remain aware of the impact we have on our environment. We must decide that we will conserve our planet so that our children and grandchildren can have a place to call home. If we don't make the choice, who will? Conservation is a way of life!!!
